San Fran: Day 7 The California Academy of Sciences & The Wharf Again!

This place was awesome! Carter loved the dinosaur statue as you first walk in. He was sucked right in! We got to see all sorts of cool things. The kids are looking at a version of a reef in the Philippines. Jeff was excited to see this too!

We were able to see the penguin show. It wasn't so great, but the kids loved seeing the penguins and learning about Pierre. He is one of the Penguins there that had gotten sick and could not keep himself warm. He had lost all of his feathers. So they made him a wet suit that he wore to keep him warm. They had wrote a kids picture book about this and we just had to buy it for the kids. Actually Grandma Susan bought it for the kids!!
THey also had a white aligator. Which wasn't too cool for us; seeing that we used to see one all of the time at Hogle zoo when we lived up on campus. But still neat to see!
The top of the roof to this museum was actually a living museum. It was covered in grass and flowers. It was really cool!

These frogs were supposed to be the most poisonous frogs in the world. They were right there on the path. Nothing blocking you from them. I kept on walking after I took the pictures and Jeff and My Dad called me back and pointed out to me that they were actually fake. I didn't even realize that they didn't move the whole time I was trying to take this picture of them. It was pretty funny. This was in the jungle portion. It was so hot in this room, i thought I was going to die! there were butterflies all over and birds flying over your head! It was so cool!
Luckily, this thing was in a glass case!
Downstairs was a huge Philippino Aquarium. This place was so neat and so much better than the Aquarium by the Bay that we had previously gone to. They had so many exhibits of everything. It was a little overwhelming!  While we were in the gift shop, my Dad and Aubs decided to take a load off and my Dad even took his shoes off!

We then headed back down to the wharf and made our last purchases of the trip. We made a final stop to Boudin's bread shop. And took some pictures with the seals!

While waiting for the bus, I took this picture!
