Good Behavior needs to be rewarded

We have been working with Carter and a point system for his good behavior. It has been so good for him and it is working well. He gets to choose what we work for and then he has to reward points to achieve them. He gets points for doing things for me or doing things that I am always asking him twice to do. For example, Getting dressed, putting his shoes on, no crying, no whinning, eating breakfast and so on. We try to focus on the things he does well and try not to make too much of a fuss when he doesn't. It is a lot harder than I thought, but it is working.
There haven't been too many tantrums and we are all a lot more happier!

So a few weeks ago, we were able to reward Carter. His goal was Ice Cream from Dylans (local burger place)

We all got to Celebrate and join in with the rewards!

We LOVE courtesy cones!

He is also loving using his quarters for stupid little toys and I swear these stupid little machines are everywhere. We have now collected 5 pencil toppers, from machine pictures above, a fake sticky mustache, and gumballs galore!
